At The New York Times, he leads A.I. Science, a newsroom research lab that pushes the frontier on how journalism can use A.I. to its full potential while minimizing its harm.
Before that, he built models and ran experiments to solve audience and revenue problems for local news. He also developed news graphics and interactives for The Times and NPR.
Born in Hanoi, he lives in Queens and on 🚲 Citi Bikes.
